Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has congratulated Edo Queens Football Club for their dramatic 2-1 victory over defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, securing a spot in the semifinals of the ongoing CAF Womens Champions League in Casablanca, Morocco. The win marks the first time Edo Queens have reached the semifinals of the prestigious tournament.

In a thrilling comeback, Edo Queens overturned a first-half deficit with Emem Essien equalising in the 95th minute, followed by a stunning winner from Mary Mamudu five minutes later.
